方法一:KinectCamV2 for Kinect V2

KinectV2_03

To install KinectCamV2 you need:

PC with USB 3 port and Windows 8 OS or above.

Kinect V2 for Windows that you can order here.

Kinect V2 for Windows SDK 2.0 that you can download from here.

KinectCamV2 it is pure .NET/C# 4.5 solution that automatically use installed SDK for KinectV2 and should be compatible with next SDKs. To use this solution you need to unpack in your Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 in folder C:\KinectCamV2 and after that go to this folder and right click on install.bat file and choose “Run as an Administrator” and run it. After that your Kinect will be working great with Google Hangout and Skype and other programs. Here you can get FullFastKinectCamV2 ver. 2.2 with IBaseFilter (36768 downloads) or FullFastKinectCamV2 ver. 2.2 (35436 downloads) with Mirrored and Desktop options in System Tray or NewFastKinectCamV2 ver. 2.1 (31707 downloads) or NewKinectCamV2 ver. 2.0 (33954 downloads). Enjoy!.

There is one more thing… I would like to share with you small update. Many people want to use this solution for Skype for Business 2016 or older. The solution is very simple, because Skype for Business 2016 and older uses .NET Framework 2.0 runtime and KinectCamV2 driver is written in .NET Framework 4.0, so to force Skype for Business 2016 or older to use .NET Framework 4.0 all you have to do is very simple thing. You have to create lync.exe.config file with following content.

And copy it to the place where you have lync.exe installed, for example inside folder: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Root\Office16”. This solution can be used for other solutions that uses .NET Framework and you need force to use higer version of .NET Framework.

P ;-).

方法二:Kinect Cam as a Webcam in Windows 10

Hey friends! I just wanted to share with you a practical tutorial on how to use your old Kinect 360 Cam as a webcam in Windows 10 for Skype and other Video Conferencing programs.  This is actually an older method, but I was shocked to learn it actually worked on Windows 10!  I was previously using a method on Windows 7 by Piotr Sowa right here (http://codingbytodesign.net/2013/03/17/kinect-for-pc-and-skype-means-kinectcam/), but it stopped working for me with Windows 10.  After much frustration I discovered a method that actually worked with Windows 10 and so I’m sharing and hosting the files with you that I know work on my website before they disappear off the internet.  The other reason I want to share this with you is because we have a huge problem in this world that is called “Planned Obsolescence” (See video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdh7_PA8GZU) and that is Corporations build things to break and to be replaced within a short time frame to boost profits.  And what happens to all that plastic? Well currently they are dumping it in 3rd world countries at alarming rates.  These kind of practices have to stop for all products and we should get updated drivers for everything ever made from Printers to Webcams if we wish to save the Oceans and this planet!

It’s true the problems have a lot to do with the way we see the world.  It’s important for everyone to discover what “Soul Vision” means I believe and that’s why I invite everybody to open up and share their own stories as this is one of the methods towards getting everybody connected.  I have boldly and bravely laid out my own personal stories on this voyage for all to see right here. Why not take a peak at how this process evolved in me.  Here’s a link to my stories:

“James’ Soul Stories”

And here’s the links required for using the Kinect 360 Camera as web cam in Windows 10:

Note right click the links and choose “Save Target As” to somewhere on your computer.

1. KinectCam.ax

2. KinectSDK v1.0 Beta2 64 bit

3. Note:  Only If you have the problem with the “failed to register” and “missing Dll file dependencies” error message, then download these two files and place them in the same location. (C:)  Then try the same command: regsvr32 C:KinectCam.ax (in the Admin Command Prompt).

File 1: KINECTSQM.DLL

File 2: MSRKINECTNUI.DLL

Note: This method is for Windows 10 64 bit.  If you are running a 32 bit version (denoted with x86) of windows I recommend the other version of the SDK file found here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=27876

Note: If everything works, be sure to give a Facebook and Youtube Thumbs Up!! Thanks!
